Michelle Hundley, a 6-year-old girl, vanished from her Kenai, Alaska, home in late May 2014 along with her mother Rebecca Adams, her 3-year-old sister Jaracca, and the mother’s boyfriend Brandon Jividen. For months their apartment stood quiet and the small fishing community searched without resolution.
On the weekend of March 21–22, 2015, a passerby found human remains in a wooded field less than a half mile from the family’s home. Investigators from the Kenai Police Department, assisted by the FBI and the Alaska State Medical Examiner, treated the site as a homicide scene and recovered a handgun near the bodies. By November 2015 police concluded that Jividen killed Rebecca, Michelle, and Jaracca in late May 2014 and then took his own life; no arrest was possible because the identified suspect was deceased. A definitive motive was not established from the evidence.
If anyone knew the family, their movements that spring, or saw anything near their home in late May 2014, please share what you know.
