Jonghyon Won, 45 and a Los Angeles resident, disappeared from the Grand Canyon area in mid-September 2017. On September 17, 2017, his white Toyota Camry was found abandoned at Moran Point on the South Rim; the vehicle had earlier been seen near the New Hance Trailhead. Won is described as an Asian male, 5 feet 7 inches, about 121 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

There were no known plans for Won to be in the park and no clear reason for his presence in that remote part of Arizona. Extensive searches of the rugged terrain by park personnel and others turned up no trace of him. The case is recorded as a lost or injured missing person matter, and the car at Moran Point remains the last concrete clue.

Does anyone have information about Won’s movements in the Grand Canyon area on or before September 17, 2017?
