Alexander Rombley-Fernandez, a 30-year-old Hispanic man, was shot and killed in the early morning of November 26, 2023, in the 2700 block of Stonefield Drive in Fultondale, Alabama. The shooting occurred at about 4:42 a.m.; the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene at 5:11 a.m. The Fultondale Police Department is treating the death as a homicide.

Investigators say Rombley-Fernandez was believed to be familiar with his attacker. A small white vehicle was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting, a detail authorities note could be important. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced. Funeral services were held on December 1, 2023, at Bushelon Funeral Home Chapel in Birmingham.
