Michael Thomas McDonald was 46 when he was last seen on October 1, 2014. A resident of French Gulch in Shasta County, he was also associated with the Junction City area in Trinity County. He is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch, about 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Circumstances of his disappearance are largely unknown. He was reported missing to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, and his vehicle was later found in Fresno County. Investigators reportedly identified a person of interest, who died shortly after the investigation began. The case remains unsolved and McDonald is still listed as missing; the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department is handling inquiries under case number 2014001368.
