Russell Sidney Stuckey, a 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran who worked in administration for the Department of Defense, was found dead at his Enterprise, Alabama, home on April 7, 2023. Officers initially went to the residence for a reported gas leak and forced entry, discovering Stuckey with seven gunshot wounds.

Investigators quickly focused on his 18-year-old son, Ethan Stuckey, as the primary suspect. Evidence reported in court said Ethan allegedly tried to stage a gas explosion by turning all four stove burners on and cutting electrical wires after the shooting. Ethan fled the state and was later located and arrested in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after license plate reader technology and his cell phone helped track him down.

At a bond hearing prosecutors disclosed an earlier attempted murder charge in another county and argued Ethan was a flight risk and dangerous; the judge denied bond. Ethan initially resisted extradition but was returned to Coffee County, pleaded not guilty, and has been indicted for murder. A court-ordered mental evaluation by an Alabama Department of Mental Health psychologist was ordered to determine fitness to stand trial.

Does anyone have information about Russell’s last known movements or about activity around that home on April 7, 2023?
