Christopher Patterson, 31, was fatally shot inside a shared Citronelle, Alabama, residence on March 25, 2022, in an incident authorities described as a domestic dispute that ended in a murder-suicide. A 70-year-old man identified as Pagan Pat Patterson, Christopher’s uncle, also shot a 61-year-old female caretaker in the shoulder; she survived and called 911. She told investigators she was awakened by a noise, was then shot, and later heard Pagan Patterson on the phone confessing to the shootings before he killed himself.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office investigated the scene as a murder-suicide; no arrests followed because the sole suspect died at the scene. The motive remains unclear, with the surviving caretaker saying the dispute appeared to be over something petty.
Did anyone in the area know Christopher or the household and have details that might explain how tensions escalated that night?
