On the night of September 11, 2021, Isaac Keola Rodgers, 31, of Holly Pond was fatally shot in the 300 block of Jim Henderson Road in the unincorporated area of Falkville. Deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office arrived just before midnight and found Rodgers deceased at the scene. Investigators processed the scene with assistance from the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, Falkville Fire & Rescue, and the Falkville Police Department.

Authorities arrested 58-year-old Thomas Dale Chapman of Falkville and charged him with murder; Chapman was booked into the Morgan County Jail with bond set at $150,000. Rodgers, born August 29, 1990, was remembered as a fan of country and bluegrass music who enjoyed fishing and rodeos and especially cherished his son. A memorial service was held September 15, 2021, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel.
