Alesia Janay King was 27 when she was found fatally shot in the head in the bed of a pickup truck near Rutledge Drive in Marion, Alabama. Her body was discovered the same day as an early morning house fire at the couple’s residence on West Cornelia Street; authorities believe the fire was intentionally set.

Investigators identified Alesia’s husband, 34-year-old Jimmy Woods, as the primary suspect. He was taken into custody and charged with murder and booked into the Perry County Jail. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Bureau of Investigation, the Regional Drug Task Force, the Fire Inspector, and the Marion Police Department are all involved and investigators said additional charges could follow.

Does anyone have information about the house on West Cornelia Street, the pickup truck, or Alesia’s movements that morning?
