On April 26, 2021, a jogger at Creek Town Park in Eufaula, Alabama, discovered a partially submerged blue Toyota sedan in Lake Eufaula. Inside were the bodies of 13-year-old Kaleb Hudson, his 12-year-old brother Kyle, and their 36-year-old mother, Remona Hudson. Investigators later determined all three had been shot with a handgun while inside the vehicle, which was then sent into the lake.
Remona Hudson worked as a certified nursing assistant at Crowne Health Care of Eufaula; colleagues described her as deeply devoted to residents and family. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation identified 26-year-old Demetrius Devonte McGhee of Clayton as the primary suspect. McGhee was taken into custody after being discharged from a hospital and was charged with four counts of capital murder. The suspect’s family reported he had a history of untreated mental illness.
Who in Eufaula might have known the Hudson family’s movements or seen the blue Toyota around April 26, 2021?
