Judith Ann Rhones was 32 when she vanished from Washington D.C. after leaving her job at the Safeway on 17th Street and Columbia Road northwest on March 8, 1994. She had worked at that store for eight and a half years and was considered a reliable, steady presence in her life and community.

Rhones lived in the 1500 block of 41st Street southeast and did not own a car; she normally took two buses and the Metro between work and home. On the afternoon she disappeared she left work and was presumed to be heading to the bus station, but she never arrived home and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time she was 5 feet 5 inches, 130 to 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and wore prescription glasses. She was last seen in a red turtleneck sweater and blue jeans, possibly also wearing a Safeway jacket and an all-weather coat.

Family and friends said she would not have abandoned her 10-month-old daughter or left without notifying anyone. What happened to Judith after she left her job remains unknown. Did anyone in the D.C. area see Judith on or after March 8, 1994, or have information about her usual commute?
