Becky Annette Minish was 19 when she was last seen on March 17, 1987, after finishing a shift at a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta, Georgia. She left her parents’ home in Evans to visit a friend in Richmond County; that friend says Becky left to meet another friend at a motel and mentioned the friend drove a Mercedes. She never returned and did not make her usual courtesy call to family.

Becky left behind all of her personal belongings, including prescription medication she needed for chronic issues from a prior car crash. Her red 1985 Chrysler LeBaron was found a week later, on March 24, abandoned at the Wrightsboro Road exit of the Bobby Jones Expressway. The vehicle had a flat tire, a pried-open door, a smashed steering column, and the starter switch ripped out; Becky was not at the scene.

Investigators checked local motels and learned one Mercedes driver had registered the night she disappeared; that registrant gave a Jacksonville, Florida address. A piece of paper with a Jacksonville suburb address was also found among her things but that address proved to be nonexistent. Authorities describe the case as an active missing person investigation and say foul play is strongly suspected.

If anyone knew Becky, saw her car that week, or has information about the Jacksonville address or the Mercedes connection, please come forward with what was seen or remembered.
