Darius Garner, 21, was shot at the Legacy at Country Club Apartments on Mimosa Park Road in Tuscaloosa on December 8, 2019, in what authorities believe was a robbery. He was taken to a local hospital and later died of his injuries. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Investigators identified and arrested multiple suspects soon after the killing. Twenty-one-year-old Jacorri Keandre Spencer was charged with felony murder and first-degree armed robbery; 23-year-old Geunte Dayshaun Constant was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution, and 20-year-old Ledell Tavari Jackson was charged with capital murder. Bond was set at $210,000 for Spencer and $15,000 for Constant; bond information for Jackson was not immediately released.

Anyone who knew Darius, was at the Legacy at Country Club Apartments on December 8, or has information about the events that night is asked to come forward.
