Sarah Marie Pettit, 36, was last seen on October 4, 2020, in the 7100 block of North 48th Street in north Wichita. She had traveled from Denver to Wichita in late summer 2020 to be with her boyfriend, a trip she made frequently between the two cities, and then settled into life in Wichita while keeping ties with friends and family in both places. Sarah is described as a white female, brown hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet 6 inches, about 135 pounds, with pierced ears and tattoos including writing on the side of her neck and the number 420 on the top of her left hand; she sometimes went by the last name Hart and had been known to shave her head.

Communication from Sarah stopped after that October sighting, and her family and the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for help. Officials say she disappeared without a trace and that there is no solid evidence suggesting foul play in the case.
