David Wright IV, a 25-year-old Black man from Tuskegee who lived in Montgomery, was shot during a weekend concert in Tuskegee on Sunday, September 23, 2018, and later died at an out-of-state hospital. Law enforcement classified his death as a homicide.

The Tuskegee Police Department opened a homicide investigation, but no arrests or publicly identified suspects have been reported and the case remains unsolved.
