Charlene Ann Orsi was 44 when she was killed in Wetumpka, Alabama, in the summer of 2018. A third-grade teacher and U.S. Air Force veteran, she was mother to four daughters, including 12-year-old triplets and a 13-year-old eldest child. Nine days before the deaths Charlene had filed for divorce from her husband of 23 years, Robert Bob Orsi, seeking full custody and citing his alleged drug use.

On the evening of July 7, 2018, after Charlene arrived home, her husband opened fire, fatally wounding Charlene and one of the triplets. Two of the triplets sustained multiple gunshot wounds but managed to escape and were taken to hospital in stable condition; the 13-year-old also escaped unharmed. The husband then set the house on fire and died by a self-inflicted gunshot. Emergency crews found the home burning and recovered the bodies of Charlene, one triplet, and Robert Orsi.

No arrest was possible because the suspected shooter died at the scene. Does anyone have information about Charlene, her family, or that neighborhood in Wetumpka that could help contextualize what led up to this tragedy?
