David Wayne Wimmer was found dead at his Phenix City, Alabama, home on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Reports indicate his death involved gun violence and was investigated as a violent incident, though the obituary did not specify a cause of death. In the years since, no public details about suspects, arrests, or investigative breakthroughs have emerged, and the case has not been prominently listed among local cold cases. He was remembered by family as an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman.

Does anyone have information about Wimmer’s final days or contacts who might help clarify what happened?
