Rickey Dease, 47, was found shot to death inside his home in Ozark, Alabama, on December 3, 2017. Authorities identified Mitchell Doster as the suspect and charged him with murder in connection with Dease’s death.

While out on bond in the Dease case, Doster was later arrested in March 2019 on a separate charge accusing him of murdering 22-year-old Orchid Nichole Bolin, who had been shot multiple times and found in a wooded area. Doster’s criminal history also includes a 1998 Coffee County case that resulted in a manslaughter plea and a 16-year sentence.

In February 2020 a Dale County jury found Mitchell Doster guilty of murder in Dease’s death after less than 20 minutes of deliberation; a sentencing hearing was expected in the spring of 2020. If anyone knew Rickey Dease or has information about his death, please share what you can.
