On October 25, 2017, 22-year-old Javon Banks and his friend Ladarious Lymon, also 22, were found shot to death in Greenville, Alabama. The deaths were treated as a double homicide and investigated by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities and the victims’ families offered a reward for information; the reward was later increased as the search for leads continued.
