In the late summer of 2017, a domestic dispute in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, ended with the death of 23-year-old Lonny Lee Logan. On the evening of Monday, August 28, police found Logan with at least two gunshot wounds. He was taken to Shoals Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Born October 11, 1993, Logan was a resident of Alabama.

Investigators questioned Logan’s brother, Michael Demetrious Logan, who was taken into custody for questioning and released the next day. The Muscle Shoals Police Department said it would present the case to a Colbert County grand jury, and the Colbert County District Attorney’s Office was contacted to pursue the legal process. The shooting left a family grieving and a community seeking answers.
