Kentavious Deon McDaniel was 19 when he was killed by gunfire in Tuskegee, Alabama, on Sunday, February 19, 2017.

A criminal investigation followed. A National Gun Violence Memorial page for Kentavious noted that a suspect had been identified and mentioned that the shooting also involved the victim’s brother. A comment on that page later named Carlos Heard as having been charged with murder, but widely verifiable news reports or official statements with specifics of an arrest, charges, motive, or case progression have not been publicly detailed.
