Vontrayvious Bennett was 19 when he was killed in a drive-by shooting on the streets of Selma, Alabama, on the evening of July 18, 2016. Law enforcement described the attack as gang-related; Bennett, a Black male, died after a burst of gunfire that night.

The Selma Police Department identified two suspects, Jerome Sneed and Leonard Williams, and took both into custody. They were charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting and the case moved toward trial as investigators prepared to present evidence to a jury.

There are still unanswered questions about the motive and the events leading up to the shooting. If anyone has information about Vontrayvious Bennett, his movements that evening, or the people involved, please come forward.
