Germerio Martez Bobo was 21 when he was killed at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the Crescent East Apartments in Holt, a neighborhood of Tuscaloosa. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and saw a car speed away; police say Bobo had been involved in an argument with someone in that vehicle shortly before the shots.

He was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene despite first responders’ efforts. A 17-year-old, Cameron Raeshawn Wiggins, was arrested and charged with capital murder and held without bond in connection with the shooting.
