Reginald Dewayne Harris, 43, was a Black man born December 25, 1972, in Columbus, Georgia, known to family and friends as OG. He lived in Columbus and worked for Sol Loeb Moving and Storage Company at the time his life was altered by gun violence in neighboring Russell County, Alabama.

Harris was shot in Fort Mitchell on February 26, 2016, and survived for several months before dying at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus on September 15, 2016. Memorial and obituary listings, and a Ledger-Enquirer headline preserved in multiple references, describe his death as occurring seven months after the shooting. A visitation was held in Phenix City, followed by a funeral in Columbus and burial at Green Acres Cemetery.

Online memorial and incident records document the shooting and his later death but do not name any suspect or report an arrest, charge, trial, or conviction tied to the Fort Mitchell shooting. If anyone knew Reginald Harris or has information about the February 26, 2016 shooting, please come forward with what you know.
