On the night of February 21, 2015, two men were found shot to death in a parked vehicle behind the Arbor Pointe Apartments on Bellemeade Drive in Prichard, Alabama. The victims were 29-year-old Chavis Shikei Sanders and 25-year-old Darrell Corenzo Harrison; both sustained fatal gunshot wounds and the incident was investigated as a double homicide.
Prichard Police conducted an active investigation at the time, canvassing the area and interviewing family and witnesses, with assistance from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Friends of Sanders suggested robbery was a possible motive. Sanders had been wounded in a separate January shooting on Noble Avenue that killed another man, Corey Dixon, and investigators were examining any potential connection between that earlier incident and the February slayings.
No suspects or arrests had been publicly named in connection with the double homicide, and the official motive remained unclear. If anyone knew Sanders or Harrison, their movements that night, or has information about either shooting, please share what is known.
