James Lewis Moseley III, 57, walked away from his group home on Charter Court in Woodbridge, Virginia, in the late afternoon of May 30, 2023, and has not been seen since. He is a dependent adult who left without his medication or identification; his health and safety are considered at risk.
He stands between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 8 inches, about 160 pounds, African American, with gray hair and brown eyes. When last seen he wore a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt over a white undershirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a gold chain. Investigators say he may have taken a taxi the next day to Washington, D.C., possibly to the Union Station area, and that he had a keen interest in buses and routes. Authorities warn that because of his medical condition he might become agitated or physical if approached.
Anyone who knew James, saw him in late May or early June 2023, or has information about travel through the D.C., Maryland, or Virginia transit areas is asked to contact investigators.
