Tylandria Rivers was 21 when she was found shot to death in her Prichard, Alabama home after police responded to a reported home invasion on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Officers discovered a gunshot fatality at the Jarrett Road residence. Investigators later noted a window that appeared broken from the inside, raising suspicion that the scene might have been staged to mislead law enforcement.
The investigation quickly focused on 22-year-old Richardson Kennedy, who was known to Rivers and identified as the father of her one-month-old daughter. He was arrested and charged with her murder and held without bond. At a preliminary hearing prosecutors presented enough evidence to bind the case over to a grand jury.
Did anyone in Prichard or the surrounding area have contact with Tylandria in 2014 or information about the events around July 6 that could help clarify what happened?
