Robert Perry was killed in Coden, Alabama after an incident that began at a Walmart in Tillman’s Corner. On a Tuesday in March 2014, Perry and his stepdaughter went to the store and were allegedly followed by two women, Kymberli Lindsay and Saraya Atkins. The parties drove back toward Coden and became stuck in the mud on Bayou Jonas Drive, where an attempted robbery reportedly turned violent. Perry was shot multiple times while trying to protect his stepdaughter and later died of his wounds.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office investigated and arrested Lindsay and Atkins; their charges were later upgraded to capital murder. Authorities announced they believed all suspects were in custody and called off searches for others.
Does anyone have information about Perry, his stepdaughter, or the events around Bayou Jonas Drive that could shed more light on what happened?
