On the morning of June 8, 2015, 22-year-old Molly Helland was found outside her parents’ home on South Main Street in Windsor, Vermont, with fatal gunshot wounds. She had recently moved back in with her family after separating from her ex-boyfriend.
Investigators quickly identified 27-year-old Jason Kendall, Helland’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her son, as a person of interest. A silver Honda Accord matching Kendall’s was seen leaving the area around the time of the shooting, and sightings later placed a man matching his description in Massachusetts, where a license plate theft in Holyoke and a subsequent sighting in Springfield were reported.
The search ended days later in Kansas when officers located a vehicle matching the description. During an attempted stop a high-speed chase followed and the car crashed; the driver was later found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and an autopsy confirmed the identity as Jason Kendall.
If anyone knew Molly, her routines in Windsor, or saw the silver Honda around June 8, 2015, please share what was seen.
