Robert Cameroen Hegseth Wohali was 26 when he was killed in the Sandpoint, Idaho area on March 15, 2019, about one month before his 27th birthday. Described as having a big smile and a compassionate heart, he enjoyed leatherwork, cooking, camping, and working on cars. He was reported missing on March 17, which prompted searches by the Sandpoint Police Department, the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho State Police.

Detectives received a tip that Wohali had been shot; his body was found on March 19 in a rural area south of Sandpoint. An autopsy confirmed a single gunshot wound to the chest as the cause of death. Investigators tied the case to the theft of his white early 1990s Chevy Camaro about a week before the disappearance, and family said he had been trying to recover the car. Michael Ryan McDermott was identified early as a suspect, was arrested on unrelated charges over that weekend, and a gun believed to be the weapon was recovered; he was later charged in connection with the killing.

Does anyone who knew Robert, saw that Camaro around mid-March 2019, or has information about whereabouts on March 15 have details to share?
