Has anyone else been curious about the mechanical issues reported on the "Wepa"? It seems odd that a mechanical problem could lead to a complete disappearance in such a short time frame. Considering the operator reached out for towing and salvage, it suggests they were aware of a problem and trying to address it. Yet, when the help arrived, there was no trace of the boat anywhere. I wonder if the exact nature of the mechanical issue was ever determined, or if there were any known defects or prior issues with this particular vessel model. The fact that the Coast Guard search covered such a vast area but still found nothing adds another layer of mystery. Would love to hear if anyone has more detailed knowledge about boating incidents in that region or similar cases of vanishing boats.
