Hendrik Johan Nunes, 86, was last seen in August 2002 while on a business trip to St. Croix. Travel records show he flew from Aruba to Puerto Rico and was due to arrive at Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix at 12:59 p.m. on August 2, 2002, and it is confirmed he reached Puerto Rico. What happened after that scheduled arrival is unclear; one report places him at Campo Rico Beach on August 19, 2002, more than two weeks later. His case was reported to the U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department in St.
Nunes was described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 140 to 160 pounds, with gray and white hair, mostly bald, a white moustache and a scar on his right ankle. He was known as Johnny, enjoyed walking, and was thought to frequent areas near Rohlsen Airport and Estate Bettys Hope in Frederiksted. Did anyone in St. Croix remember seeing Johnny around early to mid August 2002?
