Robert Wright, 36, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of December 14, 2020, on the unit block of Bristol Way in the Kingston Court community of New Castle, Delaware. New Castle County police were dispatched at about 5:02 a.m. after reports of gunfire; officers and emergency responders administered first aid but Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit took over the investigation. Police described the case as an open homicide investigation and asked the community for help identifying whoever was responsible. Authorities urged anyone with information to contact Detective Mancuso or the department’s non-emergency line, and a standing cash reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
