Darrin T. Gibbs, a 30-year-old Black man from Millsboro, Delaware, was found fatally shot late on November 16, 2016. A motorist discovered him face down and partially in West Monroe Street near Houston Avenue at about 11:50 p.m.; his hands were in his pockets and no one else was immediately visible. An autopsy determined he had been shot in the back of the head and his death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators reconstructed Gibbs’s last movements using witness testimony and surveillance from Millsboro Village Apartments. Footage showed him leaving the complex at about 11:37 p.m. with A.J. McMullen and Albert Green; McMullen and Green returned without him around 11:55 p.m. Prosecutors linked the killing to an earlier robbery of a drug dealer known as Cos and presented evidence that McMullen believed Gibbs planned to expose the robbery and needed to be silenced. McMullen was tried in December 2019, found guilty by a judge on January 3, 2020 of first-degree murder and related firearm charges, and the court concluded he led Gibbs away and shot him.

Did anyone in Millsboro know Gibbs, McMullen, Green or Kenton Williams and have information about Gibbs’s last night?
