Jaidyn Baker-Dizon was four years old when she was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 22, 2013. Her father’s last confirmed contact with her was in 2013. The disappearance has been tied closely to her mother, Shaina Baker, who in June 2014 picked Jaidyn up from a daycare in Tacoma, Washington, saying they were taking a road trip to California despite Jaidyn reportedly not being legally in her mother’s care.
Shortly after that daycare pickup, Shaina called her own mother claiming fear for Jaidyn’s safety after an incident involving Jaidyn’s younger brother and Shaina’s boyfriend Edwin Referee Davis. That call ended abruptly and there was no contact from Shaina or any sign of Jaidyn for about two years.
In December 2024 a viral TikTok showed Shaina with five younger children at a Las Vegas shelter; Jaidyn, who would have been 15, was not present. Family members traveled to Las Vegas and after jurisdictional difficulties an officer performed a welfare check; Shaina again said Jaidyn was safe with a family friend but gave no concrete evidence. The case remains unresolved and the family continues to search. If anyone remembers seeing Jaidyn after July 22, 2013, or has information about her whereabouts, please come forward.
