Andrew Burrill, 52, was last seen at home in Anacortes, Washington, on the evening of August 8, 2026. Family members spoke with him around 9:00 PM and he went to his room. About 10:00 PM his stepfather heard a car leave and recognized it as Andrew’s vehicle; he assumed Andrew had gone for a short drive.

Forty-five minutes later officers contacted the family to say Andrew’s car had been found empty and parked at Deception Pass Bridge. The Anacortes Police Department opened an investigation under case number 26-A04838. The family has no explanation for why Andrew would have driven to the bridge or where he might have gone.
