Seventeen-year-old Yhanai Johnson, a Black female, was last seen in Jackson, Tennessee, on June 23, 2024, walking away from her home at about 4:30 p.m., shortly after her mother finished preparing dinner. She was described as roughly 5 feet 7 inches and 110 pounds, with naturally black hair dyed red and long red braided extensions, brown eyes, and carrying a pink Nike backpack.

At the time she vanished Yhanai was reported to be wearing a white T-shirt, black leggings cut into shorts, and beige slides; her mother later cautioned her clothing or appearance may have changed and that she might have been wearing light mint-green Puma shoes and possibly white pants. The family said Yhanai had friends in Memphis and believed she could have traveled outside Jackson, but they did not know all of her contacts. No vehicle, evidence of injury or abduction, or suspect has been publicly identified; the Jackson Police Department is investigating.

If anyone in Jackson, Memphis, or nearby communities saw Yhanai after June 23, 2024, or knows where she might have gone, please contact the Jackson Police Department with any information.
