Hey everyone,
I've been delving into the case of young David Ambroise, the little boy who went missing near the Saint-Maurice River back in '88, and something got me really thinking. Wemotaci, being a rather remote First Nations reserve, probably didn’t have immediate access to extensive search and rescue resources back then. I’m wondering how that might have impacted the initial search efforts, especially given the harsh conditions in February.
What I've read suggests that the community did everything they could, but does anyone know if there were ever any calls for more outside resources or assistance during those critical first hours and days? It just seems like a terrifying situation where time and maybe lack of available resources stacked the odds against them. I'm curious if others have insights into how these sorts of cases were or are typically handled in such remote areas, especially in the winter months.
Thanks!
