I’ve been reading up on the details surrounding Susan Bain’s disappearance, and something that caught my attention was the washed-out bridge she had talked about visiting. With her dementia, it seems likely she might have attempted to make her way there, despite the harsh conditions. Does anyone know if the area around the bridge was searched thoroughly? Considering the weather and time of year, I worry that accessing that spot during the initial effort might have been too dangerous. It’s such difficult terrain to navigate even in good conditions. If the authorities did check it out, it’d be helpful to know more about any challenges they faced during that part of the search. Just hoping that revisiting earlier search areas might yield some answers or at least provide closure for her loved ones. Thoughts?
