Emily Norma Ballantyne, a 24-year-old Indigenous mother of five from Northlands First Nation, disappeared after leaving Lynn Lake, Manitoba, in late April 1991. On April 25, 1991, she left her daughters with her sister and said she was going to Thompson to play bingo. She traveled from Lynn Lake with two male acquaintances and the group reportedly reached Thompson late on April 27. The companions say they separated then and one later reported seeing Emily in Thompson on the following Sunday or Monday. Her whereabouts after that sighting remain unknown.

Emily was described as 5 feet 5 inches, about 128 pounds, with long black hair, brown eyes, protruding upper teeth, a tattoo reading Ernest Ballantyne on her left forearm, EB on her left thumb, and a missing left ring fingernail. She was believed to be wearing blue denim jeans and a white and blue jacket with pink shoulder detailing and an elasticized waist when last seen. Authorities have long suspected foul play; the Winnipeg RCMP revisited the case in 1997 and collected family DNA but there has been no public breakthrough.

Did anyone in Thompson or along the route between Lynn Lake and Thompson see Emily in late April 1991 or have information about her companions?
