Hey everyone,
Something I've been thinking about with Normand Basque's case is how his nomadic lifestyle might have affected the investigation. It's really interesting, and a bit frustrating to think about, how someone with such a transient way of living can just slip through the cracks. With Normand not staying put in one place for too long and potentially moving across borders, I can see why it’s such a challenge for investigators to track his movements. If he lived sporadically with acquaintances or used short-term accommodations, those places might not even keep records long enough to be of use now.
Also, considering he might have been moving back and forth between Canada and the US, that just complicates things more. Border crossings at that time may not have been as meticulously documented as they are now, and without a recent photo, he could have flown under the radar while traveling. Makes me wonder if authorities ever reached out to both Canadian and US transit systems for any records or sightings. Even with all these hurdles, I keep hoping there’s still a piece of information out there that could shed light on what happened to him. It would be incredible if someone who met or traveled with him during those years comes forward with something new.
Thoughts?
