I’ve been following the case of Dennis James Bastillo, and something that piques my interest is his decision to leave his glasses behind. As someone who relies heavily on my own, I can't wrap my head around why he'd leave them unless he didn't plan on needing them anymore. This seems to fit with the idea that his actions were premeditated, but it also makes me wonder if the choice of leaving the glasses could hint at something else. Could it mean he was planning to rely on someone else who would be guiding him, or was this possibly a symbolic gesture of saying goodbye to his old life? It's one of those small details that leaves me puzzled. Any thoughts from others who wear glasses or have similar experiences with loved ones going missing?
