I've been following the case of Derwin Beardy closely, and while the full story is just difficult to wrap my head around, one thing that stands out is the extraordinary dedication of the Garden Hill First Nation community. To think that so many traveled such a long distance just to aid in the search efforts is truly impressive and speaks volumes about the bonds within that community. Knowing how tightly-knit First Nations communities often are, I find it deeply moving that they organized to search bushes, fields, and roadsides tirelessly. It’s rare to see such unity and determination in action, especially in today's fragmented world. I genuinely hope their efforts aren't in vain and they find some resolution soon. It’s unsettling to think about the emotional toll this must be taking on all of his loved ones, not just his immediate family. Stay strong, Garden Hill folks—you’re an inspiration.
