Has anyone dug into the reports of the weather conditions on Lake Winnipeg on the evening Larry Bennett disappeared? It's noted that he faced rough waters and a headwind, but I'm curious if there are any more specific records or local anecdotes out there from that night. I wonder just how severe the weather might have been, especially considering how quickly conditions can change on a large lake. It's not uncommon for unexpected gusts or currents to catch even seasoned boaters off guard. If anyone has found more detailed info or charts from that date, it could shed some light on how difficult the crossing might have been.
