Hey everyone, I’ve been following Verna Susan Bjerky’s case for a while, and something that struck me was the artistic side she had. It's always those little details that make you realize how someone led such a vibrant life. Verna was into poetry and drawing, and from what I've read, she was quite talented. It makes my heart sting to think of all the art and creativity the world has missed out on because of her disappearance.
I came across an old article mentioning a poem she had written for a school project, and it just made me think about how her art could have been a window into what she was experiencing at the time. I wish her family had been able to share more of her work with the public, as it might help keep her memory alive and maybe even jog someone’s memory.
It’s also interesting how the items found in the river included her roller skates. There's something haunting about that detail. Skating, like her art, might have been another way she felt free and expressed herself. I keep thinking, if only we knew more about her, maybe there’s a clue hidden in the things she left behind. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle or know more about her artistic side?
