Delissa Blair was 41 and four months pregnant when she was killed in Prescott, Arizona, on a Saturday morning in October 2016. Her husband, 41-year-old Kenneth Blair, called 911 saying he had accidentally shot her during a struggle over a handgun. Deputies found Delissa on her bed with a gunshot wound to the head; she was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
Investigators say the initial accident report changed after a follow-up interview in which Kenneth admitted he had become upset during an argument and intentionally shot Delissa. He was arrested and booked on two counts of second-degree murder, one count for Delissa and a second count for the couple’s unborn child. The couple’s two other children, ages 5 and 11, were home at the time but were not physically injured. Authorities were also examining whether Kenneth Blair’s military service and possible PTSD were factors in the dispute.
Does anyone have information about the family, the timeline that morning, or what led up to the argument?
