Lorlene Chasity Eva Bone was 31 when she was last heard from on February 29, 2016, in a phone call from Sapotaweyak Cree Nation (Shoal River). A mother of four from Wuskwi Sipihk Cree Nation, she was described as bubbly and loving, about 5 feet 5 inches and 155 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair she sometimes dyed red or blonde. She had been in Wuskwi Sipihk with family and her boyfriend in the days before her disappearance and also traveled to Swan River and Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.
She was last seen at a friend’s home on the Shoal River Indian Reserve. The family reported her missing to Swan River RCMP on March 9, 2016, after she failed to pick up a social assistance cheque and did not contact them, which was out of character. The RCMP say the investigation remains active; the family has organized searches, posted flyers, and offered a reward.
