It's always baffled me how Alphonse Brochu's car was found on the Champlain Bridge. I've been researching and wanted to share a thought: is it possible he had a habit of stopping there during his drives to kind of reflect or clear his mind, especially considering his recent depression? Given its view and the significance of the location connecting two major cities, maybe it was a spot he felt drawn to. Local to Ottawa here, and I often see people stop to take a moment on bridges—it's not uncommon. If only someone who spotted him that day came forward, it might shed light on his state of mind. It just seems like such a strange place to abandon the car with no trace otherwise. Does anyone have more insight into whether this was a regular stop for him or is it more likely he deliberately chose it that day?
