Erin Maureen Brooks, a 38-year-old mother of four and member of St. Mary’s First Nation (Sitansisk), was last seen the evening of December 27, 2021, on Fredericton’s Northside. The last confirmed sighting was at the St. Mary’s Smoke Shop; on that day she was wearing blue jeans, a dark brown jacket, and black boots. She is described as about 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 3 inches tall, around 115 pounds, with black hair worn with bangs and brown eyes.

Fredericton Police are treating her disappearance as suspicious and have said they are investigating it as a homicide. Family members say Erin struggled with addiction but would not have voluntarily left her four children; they remember her as fun, outspoken, and family-oriented. Vigils and searches have been held, and anonymous donors have offered a $65,000 reward for information. The case has attracted wider attention after being featured on a television docuseries.

What did anyone see or hear on Fredericton’s Northside on the evening of December 27, 2021, that might help locate Erin?
