I recently came across David Richard Buckmire's missing person case, and something that's been bothering me is the complete lack of digital footprint from the time he went missing. I know 2003 was way before social media really blew up, but there should've been something—emails, old forum posts, or anything online—that could give us a clue about his state of mind or plans at that time. Does anyone know if the investigators looked into this angle? It's possible there might be something hidden in an old account he used, or maybe he had chat history that was overlooked. This could provide some insight or leads for the investigation. If anyone has more info on what steps were taken in this regard, I'd be interested to hear about it.
