Hey everyone, diving into some of the older cases today and Robert Caldicott's story really struck a chord with me. It's perplexing because there's so little available information about where he was last seen or his plans. One thing that fascinates me is the technological gap. We're talking about a time long before everyone had smartphones and surveillance cameras were a common presence. It's easy to imagine how much more challenging it was back in 1979 to track someone's movements or gather evidence. I read that the BC Coroners Service uses spatial data to link missing persons with unidentified remains, which is quite remarkable but also highlights how far we've come technologically. Still, even with these advancements, Robert’s case remains unsolved. It makes you think about all the other unresolved cases and how many answers remain just out of reach due to the timing and technology of the era. Anyone else feel like these old cases are especially haunting because of this technology gap?
